A.D./B.C. is a new suspense series written and devised by the creator of Summit, another TotalAccess production. It is ten episodes long and will air in the US over the summer of 2009. It is currently being offered to Network Six for the spring 2009 schedules.
Professor Jules Simone is the world's foremost authority on prehistoric species, and is also a hobbyist in creating a time displacement machine. After years of trial and error, he thinks he has finally created a machine that will send him millions and millions of years in the past, to examine the dinosaurs up close.
Armed only with a two-way communication device, he has his assistant Samantha videotape his transferrence through time. It appears to be a success--but in the process, the machine malfuntions in the lab.
Simone wakes up after landing in a strange jungle. It appears his experiment was a success--there's a family of prehistoric creatures just yards away from him. Once they notice and start to charge at him, however, he finds that his machine isn't responding to his requests to travel back. He soon learns it'll take MacGyver-like ingenuity and the help of his timid assistant to save him from becoming extinct like the animals he studied.
