American Rails is a travelogue series hosted by presenter Lisa Cooper. It was produced and aired by TotalAccess in the US, and ran for 13 episodes.

Lisa's goal is to make it from one coast of America to the other, using only the Amtrak commuter rail system as her method of transportation. She uses their sleeping cars for overnight trips, and stays with people she meets on her layovers. Each stop brings new surprises: it could be a major metropolitan city, or a countryside community tucked away by escarpments and forests. Either way, Lisa will learn more about the landscape and people of middle America, and rediscover what's great about the country.
