Mayfield Broadcasting was a company set up in July 2009 by Matthew Firth. The main intention of the company was to provide programming that viewers loved all around the world. The starting point came when in August 2009, they setted up their Portsmouth studios, and made their first sumission to provide programmes for the Network Six stations. They started producing and fliming a 5 part miniseries called A Murder in Baker Street. By September, they proposed a bid to launch a new TV station, Mayfield Television. By October, after a quiet few months, they gained a licence and was due to launch on Tuesday 27th. Sdly, techinal hitches caused them to delay the launch till Saturday 31st, however they failed again due to no graphics. So the service will now launch on Sunday 1st November, with an apology, and the premiere of their first production, A Murder in Baker Street. Also in October, Mayfield got 20% in LimeAir (Formely Air Media and Lime Broadcasting) and bidded to take control of Emerald.
